How to maintain off-road vehicles?  Two places need special attention

We can often see the protagonist fleeing disasters in an off-road vehicle. This is undoubtedly an affirmation of off-road vehicle performance. Of course, off-road vehicles have their own advantages and disadvantages, but even the most average off-road vehicle has a better ability to drive on mountain roads, rough roads than ordinary vehicles. Off-road vehicles are built for off-road use. Of course, the most suitable off-road terrain is the roughest. If it were only allowed to run on uneven dirt roads, it would be buried too much.

The first is engine.

But at the same time, the so-called "you get what you pay for", the quality and performance of off-road vehicles are nothing to say, let alone the price of top off-road vehicles, even ordinary off-road vehicles. At the same time, since most off-road vehicles drive on the trails or dirt roads, even if the performance and quality are good, their wear and tear will be more several times than ordinary vehicles, and the maintenance cost will naturally increase accordingly. It can be said that a low-end off-road vehicle might save you a lot of money on your purchase, but a few years of maintenance costs can make you replace a new car. And the top brands, the cost of off-road and maintenance will be more expensive.

The fuel consumption of off-road vehicles is difficult to control with some driving skills. After all, you can't make a horse run without getting it full, can you? However, maintenance costs can be reduced with a few tricks and general driving habits.

First of all, we should focus on maintaining the heart of the off-road vehicle - the engine. Most cars usually don't have engine problems, but engine replacements are very expensive. Therefore, to avoid engine-related problems, the engine should be serviced after a certain period of time. In particular, off-road vehicles are exposed to relatively harsh environments for a long time, and the pressure of the engine is relatively high, which makes it easy to deposit dust and carbon deposits. In a short time, these carbon deposits will not have much effect on the engine, but after a period of time, it will have a corrosive side effect on some rubber parts in the engine. Also, while a new car starts out with a good layer of maintenance wax on the rubber, the wax gradually loses its effectiveness, so it must be regularly dusted and waxed.

The second is tires.

Pay attention to off-road vehicle tires. After all, unlike other cars that are driven on flat roads, it is common for SUVs to get into rough roads. Hard rock terrain is by no means impossible. While tires on off-road vehicles are very different from regular tires, they are more likely to be damaged and offset when traversing these terrains due to the rough road surfaces or improper handling by the driver. Therefore, it is the most reliable way to check whether the tire condition is still normal after each off-road trip. With the naked eye, it is very difficult to observe the four-wheel instability and deviation, so it is advisable to have the four-wheel alignment maintained at a 4S shop. If there is a deviation, it can be positioned as soon as possible. If you don't have four-wheel alignment for convenience, your tires can "catch up" while you're driving. If a tire is broken in the way, it's not easy to get someone to fix it and towing is also very difficult and expensive.
